4/6/11

Currently the temperature is at 54.6 degrees F with winds from the NE at around 5 mph.  Dew Point: 29 degrees F Humidity: 37% Pressure: 29.82 mb There are scattered stratocumulus or altocumulus clouds in the atmosphere with the sun shining.  There has been no precipitation today and I predict that will stay consistent overnight and into tomorrow.  I am somewhat surprised by the warm up today, I predicted there would be a warm up but it is larger than I expected.  With the atmosphere mainly stable with NE winds and  altocumulus clouds, I see tomorrow being almost the same temperature wise with even more of a warm up if the clouds decide to stick around and winds change to a more S wind.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, and I predict tomorrow will be just as beautiful as today! Enjoy the sunshine and warm weather :)

4/5/11

Currently the temperature is at 45.5 degrees F with winds from the WSW at around 10 mph.  Dew point: 21 degrees F Pressure: 29.70 mb Humidity: 38% There are only scattered cirrus clouds in the atmosphere today with lots of sunshine and light winds.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, we did see a decrease in temperatures overnight and an increase today from yesterday.  Also, there was some precipitation that fell yesterday through the overnight hours, but currently there is no precipiation in our forcast.  I predict somewhat of the same temperatures for tomorrow, but becasue there are increasing clouds, we may see a bit of a warm up and maybe some precipitation depending on conditions. Have a good Tuesday everyone!

4/4/11

Currently the temperature is at 38.7 degrees F with winds from the NNW at around 30 mph. Dew point: 33 Degrees F. Humidity: 80%. Pressure: 29.54 mb. Wind Chill: 29 degrees F.  There has been scattered rain/snow showers in the area, accumulating to less than an inch with almost complete overcast of clouds.  There were some cumulus humulis clouds earlier in the morning, with some sun shining in but that seems to have been covered and not we are receiving more precipitation currently with the overcast.  My prediction from earlier was correct, it did warm up slightly with some precipitation, but now we are receiving those N winds which are causing for a decrease in temperatures. The mixture of the cloud coverage and wind direction is really playing with our temperatures right now, but I predict as the day progresses the clouds will still be throwing us some precipitation that may turn to snow as temperatures decrease into the evening.  I predict that snow/rainfall will continue overnight and maybe into tomorrow but hopefully we will see a warm up into tomorrow!

3/31/11

Currently the temperature is at 46 degrees F with winds from the WSW at around 5-10 mph.  There is a mixture of scattered cirrus, cirrostratus, and cumulus clouds in the atmosphere which is making me think there could be some storms coming in, but they seem to be dissipating as the day progresses.  The temperatures are a bit high for slow melting, but with the winds out of the S partially, it is causing this warm up to be a bit drastic.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, temperatures did rise from the day prior, but as for tomorrow I predict a little more of a warm up with possible precipitation :( Have a good day!

3/30/11

At around 1 pm yesterday the temperatures were at 38 degrees F with winds from the ESE at around 10-15 mph.  There were only a few cirrus clouds in the atmosphere and mostly sunny skies.  My prediction from the day before were correct, the temperatures did rise a slight bit from some cloud coverage later in the day, but also the wind changed from the N to ESE which also accounted for the warm up.  There was no precipitation and I predict there may be some for tomorrow if more clouds move in, but probably not until the pm hours.  Also, I predict for tomorrow the temperatures to be about the same with a little warm up.  Luckily, the temperatures have allowed for the snow to melt in a slow fashion, and I predict tomorrow will continue that pattern with fairly near to freezing temperatures.  Have a good day!

3/29/11

Currently the temperature is at 30 degrees F with winds from the ENE at around 5-10 mph.  There are only a few cirrostratus clouds in the atmosphere as of right now, and I predict there will be more as the day increases following the trend that began this morning.  This cloud coverage will then rise our temperatures just a bit higher for this snow to keep melting slowly.  There has been no precipitation today, and I predict there will be none tomorrow either if the cloud coverage stays fairly light.  As for tomorrow, I predict temperatures to rise with the cloud coverage, but nothing too durastic with the winds still coming from the N.  Enjoy the sunshine outside today because tomorrow may be more cloudy!

3/28/11

Good Monday afternoon everyone! Currently the temperature is at 32 degrees F with winds from the NNE at around 5-10 mph.  There sky is clear with no clouds in sight and a lot of sunshine :)  Since the atmosphere currently has no cloud coverage is allowing for today to be a bit chilly, but there is more clouds on the way into the atmosphere that will help warm us up for tomorrow luckily!  Now, the temperatures are right on the edge for melting some of the recent snowfall we received last week, but tomorrow will be a much better indicator of melting snow and flooding in the area.  Rivers and streams around the area are already high from the past snow melting and after all of the snow has left us, we are in for a rude awakening! This past weekend in the Dells area in WI, I did see many houses in flood planes that were already surrounded by water, so I can not imagine the damage that will be done to buildings and roads once all of the snowfall melts.  I will keep you updated on flooding and temperatures in the weeks to come and I hope mother nature will give us some S winds to warm us up even a bit more in days to come :)
