5/13/11

Currently the temperature is at 54.4 degrees F with winds from the ENE at around 5 mph.  Dew Point: 47 degrees F Humidity: 75% Pressure: 29.90" mb My prediction from Wednesday was correct, we did receive precipiation overnight and into Thursday with mainly cloudy skies.  Currently, we have mainly cloudy skies with stratus or cumulostratus clouds.  It is a big hazy and also humid.  My prediction is that tonight and into tomorrow, we will be receiving some rain and experiencing some cloudy skies.  This may clear up though into later tomorrow because there is a High pressure system moving in which will clear up the clouds, and warm up the temps a little more.  Have a great weekend!

5/11/11

Currently the temperature is at 61.1 degrees F with winds from the SSE around 10 mph.  Dew Point: 59 degrees F Humidity: 93% Pressure: 29.84" mb My prediction from yesterday was partially correct, we are experiencing around the same temps as yesterday but we are currently receiving precipitation earlier than I predicted.  It currently completely hazy with nimbostratus clouds pouring the rain.  It is very humid also.  My prediction is that we will still be receiving precipitation with mainly cloudy skies the rest of today and into tomorrow.  Thunderstorms are likely so bring your rain boots!

5/10/11

Currently the temperature is at 80 degress F with winds from the ENE at around 15 mph.  Dew Point: 61 degrees F Humidity: 51% Pressure: 29.64" mb My prediction from yesterday was correct, we did recieve precipitation throughout the evening and we did see similar temps today.  Currently, we have scattered altostratus clouds with lots of sunshine! My prediction for tomorrow is that there will be around the same temperatures with the high pressure system pouring into the area, and likely some precipitation falling tomorrow afternoon with cloudy skies.Have a good day everyone!

5/9/11

Currently the temperature is at 51.5 degrees F with winds from the W at around 15 mph.  Dew Point: 52 degrees F Humidity: 100% Pressure: 29.86" mb My prediction from Friday was correct, we did see some precipitation in the following 15-20 hrs.  Currently, we are experiencing some rainfall and thunderstorms with complete cloud coverage of nimbostratus clouds.  The thunderstorms began this morning around 7 am and have continued dropping precipitation constantly.  Temperatures still are warm, but with the W wind I predict the rain will move Eastward and we will have partly cloudy skies tomorrow with somewhat similar temperatures.  Get your rain boots out everyone!

Friday, May 6, 2011

5/6/11

Currently the temperature is at 66.1 degrees F with winds from the NE around 10 mph.  Dew Point: 33 degrees F Pressure: 29.78" mb Humidity: 29% My prediction from yesterday was correct, we did see an increase in temps and less cloud coverage, but we did not receive any precipitation as I expected overnight.  Currently the are scattered cumulus and cirrus clouds in the atmosphere with a bunch of sun shining down! But, with the wind direction and mixed clouds, I expect precipitation in the next 15-20 hrs.  I also predict temps will stay about the same.  I hope everyone has a good weekend!

5/5/11

Currently the temperature is at 53.4 degrees F with winds from the WNW at around 15 mph.  Dew Point: 43 degrees F Humidtiy: 68% Pressure: 29.92" mb My prediction from yesterday was correct, we did recieve some precipitation overnight and into today with a slight decrease in temps.  Currently, we are experiencing mainly cloudy skies with stratocumulus clouds.  There is some sunshine, but not as much as earlier today.  My prediction for tomorrow is that we will be experiencing an incrase in temps due to a H pressure system moving through and a decrease in clouds. I am hoping the sunny skeis will stick around, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  I predict to precipitation early tomorrow, but maybe into tomorrow night that may change depending on wind direction and the pressure systems coming in.  Enjoy your day!

5/4/11

Currently the temperature is at 58 degrees F with winds from the SSW at around 5 mph.  Dew Point: 24 degrees F Humidity: 27% Pressure: 30.37" mb My prediction from yesterday was correct, we are experiencing a warm up in temps and wind change to the SW due to the H pressure system that is present.  Currently, we have scattered cirrus clouds in the atmosphere with a lot of sun shine coming down!  But my prediction for tomorrow is still up in the air.  If we experience another wind change, to the SE, I predict that we will be receiving some rain showers tonight and into tomorrow with a slight decrease in temps due to the L system approaching us (it is dissipating though so its iffy) Otherwise, have a great day and don't forget your sunglasses!

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

5/3/11

Currently the temperature is at 52.8 degrees F with winds from the S around 5 mph.  Dew Point: 26 degrees F Humidity: 36% Pressure: 30.24" mb My prediction from yesterday was correct, we did see a slight increase in temperatures due to the High pressure system moving in as we speak.  Currently, we have moderate cloud coverage of alto stratus clouds and moving to cirrus clouds.  This cloud change is a characteristic of a High pressure system approaching so I predict even warmer temps. tomorrow.  I also predict the wind direction to change a little more to the SW with the H system present.  Have a good day!

Monday, May 2, 2011

4/2/11

Currently the temperature is 36.2 Degrees F with winds from the WNW at around 10 mph.  Dew point: 26 Degrees F Humidity: 66% Pressure: 30.20" mb My prediction from this last last week was correct, we did expereince a day of warmup with decreasing clouds.  Currently, we have complete overacst skies with status clouds.  It again is a very gloomy day with some cold N winds making winter still feel present.  My prediction for tomorrow is that we may be experiencing a slight warm up because of all of the High pressure systems that are around us.  If our wind direction changes, a bit more W (which is seems to be) or even more South, I would predict tomorrow will be much more pleasant than today.  There would be then a decrease in clouds and increase in temps.  Lets hope for a change in the wind so we can have a bit of a warm up! Have a great day!

4/28/11

Currently the temperature is at 38.9 degrees F with winds from the N at around 10 mph.  Dew Point: 37 degrees F Pressure: 29.70" mb Humidity: 92% My prediction from yesterday was correct, we are experiencing light rain/snow with cloudy skies. The temperature is slowly rising, but I didn't predict it too get as warm as I have heard it will be by 3 pm (around 48 degrees F)  It must be due to all the insulation we have and some warmup in the land/soil.  Currently, we are experiencing complete overcast with stratus clouds.  There is barely any sun shining today, so it has been extremely gloomy.  My prediction for tomorrow, after looking at the current surface map, is that the clouds will dissipate and we may be having a lot of sunshine with an increase in temps.  Have a great day!

Wednesday, April 27, 2011

4/27/11

Currently the temperature is at 38 degrees F with winds from the ENE at around 10 mph.  Dew Point: 35 degrees F  Humidity:  88% Pressure: 29.55" mb We are currently experiencing light rain/snow fall with complete overcast of stratonimbus clouds.  There is barely any light shining through so it is a gloomy one out there.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, we are experiencing a decrease in temps and we do have some of the precipitation falling as snow instead of rain.  There seems to be a system above us that is not moving very fast because we have had these conditions for over 24 hours.  My prediction for tomorrow is around the same with precipitation falling as rain and snow and temps staying about the same. Also I predict mainly cloudy skies for tomorrow into the evening.  Have a good day everyone!

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

4/26/11

Currently the temperature is a 41.0 degrees F with winds from the ENE at aroud 20 mph.  Dew Point: 41 degrees F Humidity: 100% Pressure: 29.42" mb.  We are currently experiencing rainfall with complete overcast of cumulonimbus clouds.  There is little sun shining through compared to yesterday.  My prediction from yesterday was corrct, we did recieve some rain during the night hours and into today (hence the ENE winds and stratus clouds).  My prediction for tomorrow is that temperatures will decrease with those N winds which may cause our rain to turn to sleet/snow.  We will be recieving rain through out today and into tomrrow so get out your rain boots! Have a good Tuesday!

Monday, April 25, 2011

4/25/11

Currently, the temperature is at 42.4 degrees F with winds from the WSW at around 5 mph.  Dew Point: 38 degrees F RH: 83% Pressure: 29.98" mb My last prediction was correct, we did see a slight decrease in clouds with some rainfall in the morning. We are currently have mainly sunny skies with only a few cirrus and cirrostratus clouds in the atmosphere.  This tells me that today will be clear and stable and I expect a slight increase in temps through the day :) As for my prediction for tomorrow, it is a little too early to tell. It is forecasted that we receive some rain into tonight, but I will not be able to see conditions to confirm that until later morning/afternoon.  I expect there to be an increase in clouds today to give us some insulation and a change in wind direction.  Have a great Monday!

Thursday, April 21, 2011

4/21/11

Currently the temperature is at 46.9 degrees F with winds from the SW around 10 mph.  Dew Point: 31 degrees F Humidity: 53% Pressure: 30.32" mb Our atmosphere has scattered stratus and cumulostratus clouds with some sunshine coming through.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, we did see an increase in temps. with the South winds and cloud coverage.  As for my prediction for tomorrow, I expect temps to drop a little with a chance of precipitation in the next 15-20 hrs due to the wind direction from the SW and stratus clouds. Therefore, expect some rain tonight and into tomorrow with temps around the same as today.  Have a great day everyone!

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

4/20/11

Currently the temperature is at 37.6 degrees F with winds from the WSW around 5-10 mph. Humidity: 82% Dew point: 33 degrees F Pressure: 30.16 My prediction from yesterday was correct, we did see a small drop in temps with some precipitation in the morning/afternoon.  Currently, the skies are have complete overcast with stratus and cumulostratus clouds covering the sun.  My prediction for tomorrow is a slight increase in temps, with the S winds, and party cloudy skies.  I expect most of the snow from today will be melted by tomorrow night at this time.  Have a good evening!

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

4/19/11

Currently the temperature is at 37.6 degrees F with winds from the ESE at around 15 mph.  Dew Point: 22 degrees F Realative Humidity: 52% Pressure: 30.04" mb Currently, we have complete overcast with some fairly strong winds.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, we did see a drop in temperature today and we expect some precipitation.  As for my prediction for tomorrow, I will predict again that there will be a drop in temperature and precipitation likely in the next 20 hr due to the wind from the ESE.  Sadly, because out temperatures are so low, we may receive some rain/sleet/snow overnight and into tomorrow.  Stay safe and keep warm because mother nature isn't letting Spring come just yet :(

Monday, April 18, 2011

4/18/11

Currently the temperature is at 43.5 degrees F with winds from the ENE at 10 mph.  Dew Pt: 24 degrees F Humidity: 46% Pressure: 29.97" mb My prediction from Saturday was correct, temperatures did cool down a bit from the day before with partly cloudy skies.  As of right now, we have mainly cloudy skies of stratus and cirrus clouds.  There is some sun shining through, unlike most of this past weekend, with the wind also dying down from Sat. and Sunday.  With these ENE winds and stratus clouds, I predict tomorrow we may be in for some precipitation in the next 15-20 hrs that could be rain or snow.  Sadly, because our temperatures are only in the 40's and down to the 30's overnight, there is a chance the precipitation will freeze and fall tomorrow.  Hopefully it gets warmer soon, but that won't be happening in the next day or two :( Have a good day!

Saturday, April 16, 2011

4/16/11

Currently the temperature is at 33.9 degrees F with winds from the NW at around 20 mph.  Dew Point: 31d degrees F Humidity: 87% Pressure: 29.55 mb.  Currently, we have complete overcast of stratus clouds with only a little sunshine trying to peak through.  The winds are fairly strong today, but compared to yesterday (where winds were around 30 mph) today is much more calm overall.  My prediction from Thursday was correct, we did receive some precipitation 15-20 hrs after my last blog prediction.  My prediction for tomorrow is that temps will stay around the same, maybe even decrease if these strong winds from the N bringing in that arctic air decide to stick around.  Otherwise, I recommend keeping out your coat because it isn't going to warm up in the next 24-48 hrs too much.  Enjoy your day!

Thursday, April 14, 2011

4/14/11

Currently the temperature is at 40.6 degrees F with winds from the ENE at around 15-20 mph.  Dew Point:  Pressure:  Humidity:  The atmosphere has complete overcast with stratus and cumulostratus clouds.  There is barely any sun shining through, do temperatures are a bit low today.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, temps did cool off with some light precipitation overnight.  My prediction for tomorrow is that we will receive some rain/snow in the next 15-20 hrs due to the ENE wind direction and stratus clouds.  Also, I think the temps will drop a little more from today so stay warm!

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

4/13/11

Currently the temperature is at 59.7 Degrees F with winds from the N at 5-10 mph. Dew Point: 25 degrees F RH: 27% Pressure: 30.08 mb My prediction from yesterday was correct, temps did cool down a bit and we did receive some precipitation.  Currently, the atmosphere is completely covered in stratus and cumulostratus clouds with some light precipitation falling in the past hour.  With the wind direction from the N I predict tomorrow to be a bit cooler with partly cloudy skies.  I predict there to be some precipitation falling overnight, but it may be clearing out by tomorrow mid-day early morning.  For the most part today was sunny, but everyone keep your coats out because tomorrow will be much chillier! Have a good day !

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

4/12/11

Currently the temperature is 68.2 Degrees F with winds from the SW at around 10 mph.  Dew Point: 34 Degrees F Humidity: 33% Pressure: 30.06 mb My prediction from yesterday was correct, there has been no precipitation and the temperatures have increased.  As of now, we have scattered cirrus and cirrostratus clouds covering the atmosphere with the sun shining bright!  There has been no precipitation today, and I predict there may be some tomorrow but that prediction may change as the day progresses.  As for temperatures tomorrow, I predict they will be around the same because of the mixture of SW winds and less cloud coverage.  It is looking beautiful outside so enjoy everyone! :)

Monday, April 11, 2011

4/11/11

Currently the temperature is at 54.9 degrees F with winds from the NE around 15 mph.  Dew Point: 37 degrees F Humidity: 31% Pressure:  29.79 mb. The skies have scattered stratus and cumulostratus clouds covering a majority of the atmosphere, helping with some insulation at this point.  This morning, we did have some thunderstorms come through the area, but they then proceeded to the NE. Between the thunderstorm this morning and now, there were a mixture of clouds including: Cirrus, stratus, cumulostartus in the atmosphere making me think we may have another front coming in. My prediction from Friday was correct, Saturday was a fair day with somewhat warm temperatures but my prediction for tomorrow is that it will increase in temperature (if these clouds stay around to keep us warm), and as of no I predict no precipitation. Have a good day!

Friday, April 8, 2011

4/8/11

Currently the temperature is at 64 degrees F with winds from the ESE at around 10 mph.  Dew Point: 32 degrees F Pressure: 29.94 mb Humidity: 30% There are scattered cirrus clouds in the atmosphere with sun shining :)  The snow is melting quickly today (and yesterday) telling me that flooding in the area is going to be on the rise.  Otherwise, we have mainly stable conditions and I predict tomorrow will about the same in temperature and no precipitation until at least night time.  My prediction from yesterday was correct besides there was no precipitation this am.  I believe the cold front must have just missed us to the South.  Have a great weekend! :)

Thursday, April 7, 2011

4/7/11

Currently the temperature is at 59 degrees F with wind coming from the SSE at around 5 mph.  Dew Point:  29 degrees F Humidity: 31% Pressure: 30.02 mb My prediction for today was correct, there is a small warm up from yesterday with those scattered cirrus and cirrostratus clouds in the atmosphere with the wind changing from the N primarily to the SSE.  Like I stated, there are scattered cirrus and cirrostratus clouds with little wind to cool us down.  The sun is shining bright today and it is officially starting to feel like SPRING! There has been no precipitation today and I predict that if clouds coverage increases, there may be a slight chance for showers into the overnight hours.  Also, I predict temperatures to stay about the same as today as long as our wind stays the same.  Enjoy the sunshine and have a good Thursday!

Wednesday, April 6, 2011

4/6/11

Currently the temperature is at 54.6 degrees F with winds from the NE at around 5 mph.  Dew Point: 29 degrees F Humidity: 37% Pressure: 29.82 mb There are scattered stratocumulus or altocumulus clouds in the atmosphere with the sun shining.  There has been no precipitation today and I predict that will stay consistent overnight and into tomorrow.  I am somewhat surprised by the warm up today, I predicted there would be a warm up but it is larger than I expected.  With the atmosphere mainly stable with NE winds and  altocumulus clouds, I see tomorrow being almost the same temperature wise with even more of a warm up if the clouds decide to stick around and winds change to a more S wind.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, and I predict tomorrow will be just as beautiful as today! Enjoy the sunshine and warm weather :)

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

4/5/11

Currently the temperature is at 45.5 degrees F with winds from the WSW at around 10 mph.  Dew point: 21 degrees F Pressure: 29.70 mb Humidity: 38% There are only scattered cirrus clouds in the atmosphere today with lots of sunshine and light winds.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, we did see a decrease in temperatures overnight and an increase today from yesterday.  Also, there was some precipitation that fell yesterday through the overnight hours, but currently there is no precipiation in our forcast.  I predict somewhat of the same temperatures for tomorrow, but becasue there are increasing clouds, we may see a bit of a warm up and maybe some precipitation depending on conditions. Have a good Tuesday everyone!

Monday, April 4, 2011

4/4/11

Currently the temperature is at 38.7 degrees F with winds from the NNW at around 30 mph. Dew point: 33 Degrees F. Humidity: 80%. Pressure: 29.54 mb. Wind Chill: 29 degrees F.  There has been scattered rain/snow showers in the area, accumulating to less than an inch with almost complete overcast of clouds.  There were some cumulus humulis clouds earlier in the morning, with some sun shining in but that seems to have been covered and not we are receiving more precipitation currently with the overcast.  My prediction from earlier was correct, it did warm up slightly with some precipitation, but now we are receiving those N winds which are causing for a decrease in temperatures. The mixture of the cloud coverage and wind direction is really playing with our temperatures right now, but I predict as the day progresses the clouds will still be throwing us some precipitation that may turn to snow as temperatures decrease into the evening.  I predict that snow/rainfall will continue overnight and maybe into tomorrow but hopefully we will see a warm up into tomorrow!

Thursday, March 31, 2011

3/31/11

Currently the temperature is at 46 degrees F with winds from the WSW at around 5-10 mph.  There is a mixture of scattered cirrus, cirrostratus, and cumulus clouds in the atmosphere which is making me think there could be some storms coming in, but they seem to be dissipating as the day progresses.  The temperatures are a bit high for slow melting, but with the winds out of the S partially, it is causing this warm up to be a bit drastic.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, temperatures did rise from the day prior, but as for tomorrow I predict a little more of a warm up with possible precipitation :( Have a good day!

3/30/11

At around 1 pm yesterday the temperatures were at 38 degrees F with winds from the ESE at around 10-15 mph.  There were only a few cirrus clouds in the atmosphere and mostly sunny skies.  My prediction from the day before were correct, the temperatures did rise a slight bit from some cloud coverage later in the day, but also the wind changed from the N to ESE which also accounted for the warm up.  There was no precipitation and I predict there may be some for tomorrow if more clouds move in, but probably not until the pm hours.  Also, I predict for tomorrow the temperatures to be about the same with a little warm up.  Luckily, the temperatures have allowed for the snow to melt in a slow fashion, and I predict tomorrow will continue that pattern with fairly near to freezing temperatures.  Have a good day!

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

3/29/11

Currently the temperature is at 30 degrees F with winds from the ENE at around 5-10 mph.  There are only a few cirrostratus clouds in the atmosphere as of right now, and I predict there will be more as the day increases following the trend that began this morning.  This cloud coverage will then rise our temperatures just a bit higher for this snow to keep melting slowly.  There has been no precipitation today, and I predict there will be none tomorrow either if the cloud coverage stays fairly light.  As for tomorrow, I predict temperatures to rise with the cloud coverage, but nothing too durastic with the winds still coming from the N.  Enjoy the sunshine outside today because tomorrow may be more cloudy!

Monday, March 28, 2011

3/28/11

Good Monday afternoon everyone! Currently the temperature is at 32 degrees F with winds from the NNE at around 5-10 mph.  There sky is clear with no clouds in sight and a lot of sunshine :)  Since the atmosphere currently has no cloud coverage is allowing for today to be a bit chilly, but there is more clouds on the way into the atmosphere that will help warm us up for tomorrow luckily!  Now, the temperatures are right on the edge for melting some of the recent snowfall we received last week, but tomorrow will be a much better indicator of melting snow and flooding in the area.  Rivers and streams around the area are already high from the past snow melting and after all of the snow has left us, we are in for a rude awakening! This past weekend in the Dells area in WI, I did see many houses in flood planes that were already surrounded by water, so I can not imagine the damage that will be done to buildings and roads once all of the snowfall melts.  I will keep you updated on flooding and temperatures in the weeks to come and I hope mother nature will give us some S winds to warm us up even a bit more in days to come :)

Sunday, March 20, 2011

3/20/11

Currently the temperature is at  36.4 degrees F with winds from the S at around 25 mph.  There is complete overcast with less than an inch of rain falling.  This rain is melting a lot of the snow on the ground, which tells me some flooding in the area may in store.  My prediction from Friday was correct, temperatures did cool down a little from the day before.  My prediction for the rest of today is an increase in temperatures with the amount of cloud coverage and S winds.  There may also be some more precipitation, but nothing to be too worried about.  As for tomorrow, I predict about the same temperature as today if the clouds stick around thru the night.  If not, tomorrow may be a bit chillier!  Have a good Sunday everyone!

Friday, March 18, 2011

3/18/11

Currently the temperature is at 37.2 degrees F with winds from the WNW at around 15-20 mph.  We have scattered cumulostratus clouds today with some sun shining through.  Earlier this morning however, there was a mixture of cirrus, status and cumulus clouds throughout the atmosphere.  This made me think we may be having some crazy weather, but as the day progressed, just the cumulostratus clouds are left.  My prediction from Wednesday was correct, temps did increase and mimic the day prior, but my prediction for the rest of today and tomorrow is that temperatures will be cooling down.  Also, there has been no precipiation and I predict there will be none for the remainder of the day.  TGIF everyone, have a good weekend!

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

3/16/11

Currently the temperature is at 34.3 degrees F with winds from the WSW at 0-5 mph.  There was an enormous amount of evaporation fog present this morning until about 9 am.  The temperature and dew point at around 9 am finally allowed for the fog to erase and for more sun to shine through.  Currently, the sky is still hazy, but it is clearing as the day progresses! My prediction from yesterday was right about on, and I predict for the remainder of today, temperatures will increase and so will the amount of sun we see.  As for tomorrow, it is a little too early to tell, but I assume a little warm up in temperatures with the S wind and with some cloud coverage still available, tomorrow may mimc today's weather very closely.  I predict little precipitation if any, but as the day progresses I will be watching the clouds to see what forms! Have a great day everyone!

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

3/15/11

Currently, the temperature is at 44 degrees F with winds from the SSW at around 10 mph.  There are scattered cirrostratus clouds in the atmosphere with some sun shining through :) My prediction from yesterday is accurate, is it warming up especially with those South winds.  But, there has not been any precipiatation yet today as I expected.  I predict for tomorrow to be a little more cloudy with temperatures still on the rise with from the S wind direction and cloud coverage that is increasing today.  According to the clouds, I assume no precipitation as of now, but that may change as the dat progresses.

Monday, March 14, 2011

3/14/11

Currently the temperature is at 40 degrees F with winds from the SW at around 5-10 mph.  The sky is mainly clear with only a patch of cirrus clouds to the NW.  My prediction from this weekend was accurate, we did not have any precipitation the following day and boy was it a beautiful Sunday!  I predict tomorrow will be a bit cooler without the clouds coverage to keep us warm, but a lot can happen from now until a little later today with the clouds and wind direction to tell us if there will be precipitation or not. Lets hope mother nature will allow Spring to come and stay with this stable environment :)

Friday, March 11, 2011

3/11/11

Currently the temperature is at 40.7 degrees F with winds from the SSW at around 10-15 mph.  The sky is mainly cloudy with cirrus clouds covering a majority of the atmosphere.  There is some sun shining through, but with the decreasing of clouds, I expect temperatures to drop into tomorrow.  Also, because there are cirrus clouds and winds from the SSW, I expect no precipitation throughout the night and into tomorrow.  My prediction for today was accurate, but it warmed up a little more than I expected.  Also, I just want to touch on the fact that this morning there was some evaporation fog due to the cold temperatures overnight and warm temperature today.  This is very common in this area, and I expect to see more of it in the close future with the forecast I have seen with the warm up during the day.  Have a great weekend! :)

Thursday, March 10, 2011

3/10/11

Currently the temperature  is at 29.7 degrees F with winds from the North at around 5 mph.  The sky is currently clear with the sun shining down brightly.  I do expect the temperatures to stay about the same or even decrease with the clear skies, along with the N winds.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, but for this evening I predict temperatures to stay fairly consistent with a bit of a warmup for tomorrow once the clouds move back in to keep us warm :)

Wednesday, March 9, 2011

2/9/11

Currently the temperature is at 33.3 degrees F with winds from the N at 7 mph.  There is complete overcast with light snow falling as the day progresses.  My prediction was correct, but I did underestimate the amount of snow we were going to recieve.  My prediction for tomorrow is that it will remain about the same temperature with some more snowfall.  Lets hope it warms up a little or the wind changes, because I would love Spring to make a small appearance any day!! :) Stay warm and keep those winter boots out.

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

2/8/11

Currently the temperature is at 37 degrees F with winds from the NE at around 10 mph.  The sun is shining now with only scattered cirrostratus clouds.  My prediction from yesterday was correct, it is warmer today than yesterday, but sadly I predict it is going to be cooler again tomorrow because of the winds from the North and less cloud coverage.  It is exciting to see the snow melting, but I am afraid since we are so close to freezing, we may see some light precipitation later tonight onto tomorrow.

Monday, March 7, 2011

3/7/11

Currently the temperature is at exactly 33 degrees F with light winds at around 5-10 mph from the SSW.  There is complete overcast with some light snowfall.  My prediction was correct for yesterday, but today is a little warmer than I expected.  But, because the winds are coming from the South,  I predict tomorrow will warm up even more melting some of that snow we just received.  I predict there could be some more snowfall throughout the day, but with the temperature on the rise right now, that won't allow for snowfall until this evening.

Saturday, March 5, 2011

3/5/11

Currently the temperature is at 27 degrees F with winds from the  N at 5 mph.  There is bout 30% cloud coverage with cirrus clouds or maybe altocumulus.  My prediction was correct, that it would warm up a little, but because the winds are from the North again, I am afraid I have to predict a cool down again for tomorrow.  There has been no precipitation yet today, and the clouds have been clearing up nicely.  Lets hope for no more snow :)

Thursday, March 3, 2011

3/3/11

Currently the temperature is at 15.1 degrees F with winds from the ESE at around 10 mph.  There is 100% overcast with barely any sunshine coming through.  My prediction that it would be warmer today is correct, but not until more of the mid-day.  There is some precipitation falling, but it is very light.  I predict the temperature will get a little warmer for tomorrow and that there will be more precipitation for the remainder of the day.  Stay warm out there :)

3/2/11

Currently that temperature is at 13.2 degrees F with winds from the N at around 5 mph.  I was correct with my prediction saying temperatures would drop compared to yesterday.  I predict, with the increasing cloud coverage, for it to be a bit warmer tomorrow.  Today was mainly sunny with little cloud coverage (cirrus clouds), which was the cause for such cold temps, but tomorrow will be warmer!

3/1/11

Currently the temperature is at 38 degrees F with winds at around 15 mph out of the WSW.  The sky is mainly covered (90%) with cirrus clouds at about a mid-level altitude.  The sun is shining thru though, so that means the clouds towards the North are thin, but the clouds to the SSW are thicker.  This then makes me predict that temperatures will be increasing with the abundance of cloud coverage today.  I predict also, that there may be a chance for precipitation on a small scale into tonight.

2/28/11

Today is a sunny one with temperatures at 22 degrees F.  The winds are from the W at about 5-10 mph and the sky is clear with not a cloud in sight!  We have not had any precipitation so far today, and I expect there will be none for the remainder of the day.  I would predict the temperatures will stay about the same, maybe a bit cooler until the clouds roll in to give us some warmth :)

2/25/11

The current temperature is at around 15 degrees F with winds from the NNW at 5-10 mph.  There is about 50% cloud coverage with cirrus or cirrostratus clouds.  There is a bit of a cool down today from yesterday with those North winds and little clouds in the atmosphere to warm us.  There has been no precipitation yet today and I predict there will not be any for the remainder of the day.  Therefore, keep warm out there because I don't foresee the temperatures getting any warmer quite yet! :)

2/24/11

Currently, the sun is shining with a small amount of cloud coverage (30%) of cirrostratus clouds.  According to weatherbug.com, the current temperature is 33.6 degrees F with winds from the N at 5 mph.  There has been no precipitation yet today, and I predict there will not be any for the remainder of the day. I predict temperatures will drop because of the North wind, but nothing to be too worried about.  Lets hope the snow stays away, but I have a feeling there will be more because cloud coverage as the day progressed  seems to be more and more in the atmosphere and the temperatures are still low.

2/23/11

Currently, the temperature is at 30 degrees F with winds from the SSW at 10 mph.  There is  currently partial cloud coverage (40%) and I expect the clouds will be staying until tomorrow. We had no precipitation throughout the day and I predict we may receive a little snow overnight but nothing to accumulate to much.

2/22/11

Today is currently sunny with about 40% of the sky covered with a mixture of cumulus and stratus clouds.  The current temperature is 25 degrees F with winds from the SSW at around 10 mph.  There has been no precipitation yet today, and I predict there will not be any until later tonight.  The temperature is warming up (with winds from the S) so I predict it will be getting even warmer tomorrow!!!

1/21/11

Currently, the temperature is at 15 degrees F with winds from the ESE at 20 mph.  There is a majority of the sky covered with clouds (around 80%) and I predict there will be precipitation throughout the night.  Earlier today, there was fairly consistent snow flakes in the air with a little sun shining through. I am predicting the snow will be staying because it doesn't look like temperatures are going going to rise too high in the next few days. There may be an increase in temperature just because of the majority of cloud coverage :)

2/18/11

TGIF! Thank goodness it's FRIDAY :) The sun is shining with no cloud coverage today with the temperature at 25 degrees F.  The winds are from the WNW at around 40 mph with no precipitation yet today.  I predict there will be no precipitation for the remainder of the day, but am thinking tomorrow may be a bit more cloudy.  I don't see temperatures warming up in the next day or so, but it is only February :)

2/17/11

Currently, the temperature is at 44.2 degrees F with winds from the S at 5-15 mph. (according to weatherbug.com)  The sky is mainly cloudy (90%) and there was a fog advisory this morning until noon.  The warm front is moving through the region and I believe the fog formed from the warm atmosphere and cold base layer with snow.  This will dissipate as the day progresses.  There has been no precipitation but I predict as the day progresses precipitation may be in store.

2/16/11

Currently the temperature is at 42 degrees F with winds from the SE at around 10 mph.  Cloud coverage is minimal with the sun shining!! I predict there will be a chance for precipitation tonight, but likely it won't happen.  We have had no precipitation currently and I predict tomorrow will be about the same, maybe even warmer! :)

2/15/11

Today's current temperature is 41 degrees F with winds from the SSW. There is around 70% cloud coverage with sun shining through.  The wind is blowing at around 20 mph which makes it feel a bit chilly.   The snow is melting once again so careful this evening when temperatures go down and the water turns to ice.  I predict tonight will be clear of precipitation also and somewhat of the same weather for tomorrow maybe just a bit warmer :)

2/14/11

Today's temperature is currently at 37 degrees F (according to weather.com) with winds at around 10 mph. The winds are coming from the N which informs me of the reason why it is a bit cooler out today than yesterday.  There is about 50% cloud coverage now, but earlier in the day there was clear skies.  I would predict no precipitation the rest of today and somewhat of the same weather for tomorrow.  It is refreshing to see some of the snow melt, but as you may know, that means there may be some flooding around the area because of the abundance of snow this winter.  Lets hope for the best!

2/13/11

Today was a beautiful one!!! It was sunny skies with little cloud coverage with temperatures around 45 degrees F.  The wind is coming from the WSW at around 15 mph.  The wind did pick up as the day progressed, but nothing to amount to much. There was no precipitation today and a small amount yesterday.  Finally, the snow began to melt and I predict it will continue to do so tomorrow with warm temperatures! :) The sun set was beautiful with pinks and purples at around 5:30 this afternoon.

2/11/11

Finally, it is a little warmer today at a temperature of  20 degrees F.  There is little wind, around 10mph, and it is coming from the SW.  There are currently some flakes of snow in the air, but nothing that will accumulate to much.  Cloud coverage is at 100%, but I think we may categorize it as obscured because of the snow fall.  I predict the temp. will be on the rise with all of this cloud coverage with some light snow.

Thursday, February 10, 2011

2/10/11

The current temperature is around 5 degrees F but it feels a bit colder than that.  There is currently little to no wind (only around 3 mph) coming from the SE.  There is no cloud coverage again, but I predict there will be some coverage moving in overnight with some warmer temperatures! Currently there is no form of precipitation and I predict there will be none for the rest of the day, so enjoy the sun everyone! :)

2/9/11

Today was a chilly one but currently it is even colder if any of us thought that was possible!! Currently, we are at -4 degrees F with winds from the SW.  The wind speed is from 5-10 mph and that makes it feel like -20 degrees F.  There was barely any cloud coverage all day (which partially accounts for the chilliness), and I expect there to not be much tomorrow either.  I assume the temperature will warm up here in the next few days gradually.  There has been no precipitation all day long and I assume there won't be any tomorrow.

2/8/11

Today is very cold once again with the temperature at 0 degrees F (according to weather.com) But, it feels much colder than that with winds at around 10 mph coming from the W.  There is luckily sun today though, something we have not seen for a while, with no cloud coverage.  I predict there will not be and currently is not any precipitation for the rest of the day.  As for tomorrow's temperature, I hope or it to warm up, but tonight will still be in the negatives until morning. Have a good Tuesday everyone :)

2/7/11

Today is a cold one again, and only getting colder as the day progresses!  It is around 15 degrees F with winds from the NW. There are flurries in the air, but nothing that will accumulate to much until later in the day I would assume.  As for cloud coverage it is looking like 99% of the sky is covered and it is very hazzy out there.  I would assume it will be getting colder because of the North winds at about 20 mph, but am hoping for it to warm up in the near future! Stay warm out there today :)

Saturday, February 5, 2011

2/5/11

Today is Saturday, February 5th 2011.  The current temperature is at around 25 degrees F with very calm winds from the NE.  I predict there will be some precipitation by tomorrow.  The current cloud coverage is at about 80% with clouds covering a majority of the sky.  Today, we had little sunlight breaking through but I predict tomorrow it may be a bit more clear.

Friday, February 4, 2011

2/4/11

Finally, there is some sun out there! Today is still feeling chilly, at a cold 25 degrees F with wind speeds around 15 mph.  The wind is coming from the SW, but it is much more pleasant with some bright light out there.  As for precipitation, there is currently none and I predict there won't be any until a little later today.  Also, cloud coverage is at about 40%.  There is much more coverage to the South, but otherwise just minimum scattered clouds.  It is a nice day out, but hoping the temperature will rise in the next few days!

2/3/11

Hello everyone!  It is definitely a cold one once again in Eau Claire, WI.  The current temperature is around 15 degrees F with STRONG winds from the SSW.  I would say the wind is blowing at about 15 mph maybe even stronger.  The cloud coverage is more today than yesterday with about 80% of the sky covered with stratocumulus clouds.  There is a bit of sun trying to peak through, but not nearly as much sun as earlier in the day.  We better keep bundled up because I predict tomorrow is not going to be much warmer!

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

2/2/11

Well everyone, its a chilly day out there!  The temperature is at around 7 degrees F with a cold wind from the WNW. The wind it somewhat moderate to a little high at around 15-20 MPH.  As for sky conditions, we are seeing mostly sunny skies, with some light cloud coverage in the South.  Having such little clouds around us is going to make for a chilly night, but I assume the temperature will rise in the next 24 hours to something a little more comfortable.  I forecast no precipitation for the remainder of the day and into tomorrow.  Now, everyone stay warm out there and bundle up! :)

Tuesday, February 1, 2011

2/1/11

Today is mainly cloudy with 90-100% cloud coverage.  There was a bit of a fog this morning along with some sunlight, but currently there seems to be little to no sunshine shining through.  The temperature is around 10 degress F with winds from the North.  There seems to be some wind, but nothing to be cautious about.  Also, there has been very little precipitation and none at the current time. I forcast some snowfall later into the evening because of the cloud coverage and low temperatures, but nothing that will affect travel or outside activities.

Monday, January 31, 2011

1/31/11

Currently, the air is filled with a light snowfall with winds blowing from the Northeast.  I would say the current temperature is around 20 degrees F, with 20-25 mph winds.  It is somewhat of a chilly day out there if you are outside for any activities or walking. Also, I would predict constant snowfall until at least early morning or afternoon on Tuesday, so make sure to set aside some extra travel throughout today and part of tomorrow.
